Read the title one more time. Yeah, I said it. PHP, one of the most popular web development languages, runs faster when it ’s executed as compiled .NET Common Language Runtime (CLR) using Phalanger 2.0 than it does running natively under the Zend interpreter.

you know, the compiled languages are more faster than the interpreted ones. Phalanger just compiles the PHP code to IL, and from this point the php code is treated like any normal compiled .NET application.

running the same PHP code using the normal PHP interpreter will be slower, except if you are using any opcode caching tool like APC, Zend optimizer or PHP Acceleraotr. if you are using one of those, this will make running PHP using the normal PHP interpreter more faster than running it using Phalanger.

the author of the post didn't mention that he was using any opcode caching tool, so what he said just makes sense in this situation .

Here given details about the PHP. PHP is working better on Asp.net frame work.

PHP is really the best languages to use when it comes in ASP.net. I wonder why Java and Css cannot perform like PHP.
